How would you describe yourself?
I am a God-fearing entrepreneur who for many years has dedicated my skills and knowledge as an artist and beautician to the care and preservation of hair. Within the industry, I decided to devote my focus to the care and maintenance of natural hair as I saw this is where my skills and knowledge are needed. I am a very passionate, creative, and industrious individual and I always seek to carry my craft to new heights. I love to encourage persons I come into contact with to be the best they can be; confident and contented with their appearance. I seek to maintain my standards in quality service within my business with the use of techniques and knowledge on how to do so. I see trials as ways to grow as a person thus, I believe in making the best of situations and opportunities. With a mindset of faith in God, passion, and consistency, I will continue to embrace who I am and encourage others to do the same.
What does your day-to-day entail?
My day-to-day routine first includes meditation/prayer, thanking God for a new day filled with possibilities. I seek reconnection with Him and staying in tune with myself is very important for me to commence and continue throughout my day. Having a healthy breakfast before opening hours of business is also important for me and at the end of each day, I usually reflect on the day spent and structure things to come. On days that business is closed, I also use the time to rest and do calming things along with relaxing and connecting with close family and friends.
Tell us your most memorable achievement to date.
My most memorable achievement to date would be the launching of my natural hair care product line in December of 2020.
Any advice for our readers who are aspiring entrepreneurs?
My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs would be the following:-
First of all, believe in yourself.
Mastering your skills and managing your time is also necessary to build your brand.
Use your free time wisely and always seek and be open to new opportunities and ideas which you can implement into your business.
Never see mistakes as failure or the end but as lessons to learn from and have the courage to accept and try again.
Invest in yourself.
Have a mentor or mentors.
Associate with persons of like minds.
Take the time to nurture your business with the principles and disciplines needed for success.
Pay attention and listen to your business, it will tell you what it needs.
Remember your business reflects you so, always take care of your overall health. Your body and mind must be in order, to achieve your ultimate goals in business.
As I always say, "I don't see blocks I see stepping stones" so, never give up Faith, Goals, Focus, Balance!
