I am a fun-loving and caring person who is also a thinker and a creative. I love to see people happy and progressing in life, and I enjoy helping individuals to obtain that however I can. I am a Christian by faith, which has shaped my personal and professional life. I am the owner and Real Estate Agent of Home by Christon Smith.
Tell us a bit about your business endeavours.
I have been a part of the sales field for about five years, but it had been a lifelong dream of mine to be an entrepreneur. This dream became a reality about two years ago when I launched my business. Home by Christon Smith is a Real Estate business that seeks to give each client a personal experience. We are mainly involved in listing and advertising properties for rent and sale. We also offer property management services to those who require it. We see our job as a privilege, as we are part of a unique journey with our clients, discovering a home share their dreams. Home is where dreams come through, where life is, where life happens, where memories live. It is our passion to deliver this kind of vision to our clients who become a part of the Home family, hence, the name Home by Christon Smith.
What do you consider the most rewarding aspect of working in this field?
The most rewarding aspect of this job for me is seeing joy shine through on our client’s faces when they have finally found their home. Those smiles mean we have made someone happy. We have helped them obtain peace of mind and fulfil a dream.
What do you find most challenging about working in this field?
I interact with people from all walks of life with various personalities, which can be challenging to navigate. Some people are quite easy to work with, and some are very difficult. Balancing and managing those personalities as I try to meet my clients' needs is key to maintaining good business relationships.
What advice would you offer someone who is interested in pursuing a business similar to yours?
My advice to anyone who is looking to pursue a business similar to mine would be to research. Do not be afraid to ask questions and be open to learning new things. Be prepared to increase your patience, as this field will test you. Always respect the clients, the customers, and other agents and brokers in the area.

Usually, people are most surprised when they learn I am more introverted, meaning I am shyer or reserved than I may first appear. This may be so as I am more outgoing during personal interactions and in online business videos. I actually prefer working behind the scenes, as it allows my creativity to flow freely.
