Who is Delisa Laing?
I am a young Entrepreneur and the Managing Director Of Delisa’s Delights. I truly believe in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” and I accept every order with this mentality and Faith.
Tell us a bit about your business.
Delisa’s Delights has officially launched for 2 years now. In the beginning baking was just considered a past-time or a hobby . Baking was just a natural talent that developed within the Family.
For the past two years, I have been focusing on perfecting my craft , stepping out of my comfort zone and creating new products. Delisa’s Delights now specializes in Cheesecakes. However, we do accommodate orders for traditional cakes and treats for most events such as; Baby Showers, Birthdays and Corporate Events.
What do you consider the most rewarding aspect of Entrepreneurship?
The most rewarding aspect of being an Entrepreneur for me is receiving wonderful reviews from a customer after trying my product for the first time. That is definitely worth the sleepless nights!
What do you find most challenging about Entrepreneurship?
The most challenging for me as an Entrepreneur is continuously creating content and time-management. I’m still trying to find the perfect work-life balance. I’m always working!
Any advice for someone who is interested in pursuing a business similar to yours?
There’s always room for you within the market but you must remain focused, be creative and passionate about your brand and product. Do not go into business just for money because it’s not as glamorous as it seems.
Plantain, Waffles and Ice Cream: One has to go.
Waffles must go without a doubt! I do not like Waffles anyways but I can definitely eat Ice-Cream and Plantains daily if I ever have to.
