Who is Kemel Knight?
I am an outgoing energetic person, 27 years of age who is very interested in the hospitality industry.
What does a typical day for you entail?
My day is mainly based on inventory and checking on products (wines) to make sure they are up to date and to ensure that wines are good for serving and are not off. I also ensure that we are providing quality wines and champagnes to our guests.
What would you consider to be the most interesting thing about a career in this field?
I will definitely say pairing wines with food and also speaking my knowledge about wines to our guests and to help them choose the right wine for their dishes.
What advice would you give someone who is interested in pursuing a career similar to yours?
I will say it’s a very interesting career but don’t ever limit yourself. The day you push yourself you will open doors to new opportunities and careers within the hospitality industry.
How do you remain motivated during the tough days?
I usually say to myself, everyday won’t be the same and today will always be in the past of tomorrow so try your best and make it work.
What is your favourite way to relax and unwind after a hectic week?
My way to relax is by taking a cold shower and watching a movie.
